Bio

Mary is a Career Transitions Coach and founder of  Passion + Persistence Coaching, partnering creatively with her clients to clarify their vision and take action to achieve their goals.  She is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through the Coaches’ Training Institute (CTI).  In the context of Career Transitions Coaching, she frequently coaches on topics such as leadership, creativity, family, and health.

In addition to being a coach, she is also an organist/pianist.  She has a corporate marketing research background in NYC, for magazines including Parents, Traditional Home, Every Day with Rachael Ray, and Fitness.  She studied poetry at Sarah Lawrence College with Marie Howe, interned at Counterpoint Press, and worked for the Campbell Corner Poetry Prize Competition.

Mary is passionate about psychology, mindfulness, and personal development.  Working with a coach, she was led to become one herself.  She values connecting with her community.  She was a NY Cares team leader for a Queens Public Library adult ESOL conversation group, serving immigrants from various backgrounds.  She lives with her husband and son in Newark, NJ, and is a volunteer mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

She values a healthy lifestyle and spending time in nature.  She loves traveling to Cape May, NJ; rural Quebec; and the Smoky Mountains.  An avid hiker and swimmer, she has also run a half-marathon in Central Park, 10K’s in New England, and has practiced yoga at at Om Yoga and Equinox.
